Luxury + Supercar Weekend
Now in its third year, and for the second time in Canada, LSW2011 is set to be the Nation’s finest two day outdoor showing of Luxury + Supercars. The 2011 event once again offers a unique up-close and personal opportunity to view the world’s finest examples of automotive advancements.
New for 2011 is the show highlight, “Innovations in automotive alternative fuel technology.”
Each car on display will be hand-picked by the LSW selection committee. Automotive enthusiasts of rare luxury supercars, vintage collectibles, electric/hybrid and concept cars will get the chance to view automobiles that are normally displayed only at select elite international automotive events such as Villa d’Este in Italy, Salon Privé in London, and The Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach in California.
The center of the event will take place on the manicured Great Lawn of VanDusen Botanical Garden, offering the perfect backdrop for a ‘Garden Party’ atmosphere. With a high profile guest list and entertainment to suit upscale tastes, LSW is set to be the most anticipated addition to the Metro-Vancouver social calendar.
Event Goals
To create an annual Luxury + Supercar Weekend that appeals to all those who appreciate natural or man-made beauty, from affluent car collectors and design aficionados to aspiring automobile enthusiasts.
Our goal is to bring together an influential network of Western/Asian clients and their guests for this unique Vancouver experience and attract like-minded clients. While many attendees will call Metro Vancouver their permanent home, others are part-time local residents from international destinations, particularly Asia. Our corporate sponsors represent a wide range of industries including banking, brokerage, real estate, insurance, property development, luxury goods and, of course, automotive retail.
History of the Event
The first Luxury + Supercar Weekend was held in 2009. Attending were 4000 targeted auto aficionados who gathered in the Plaza of Nations on the water’s edge of Vancouver’s False Creek. Picture perfect weather saw affluent buyers, private collectors, corporate sponsors and automotive retailers witness a rarely seen, prestigious line-up of automotive innovation and excellence from around the world. The second annual Luxury + Supercar Weekend was held in Seoul, Korea, August 2010.
